Our ideal candidate is industrious, cooperative and has experience in an educational setting. As an educational assistant, you will work with students in a whole group, small group and 1:1, as well as perform additional tasks to support teachers in providing a comprehensive educational program. Our curriculum incorporates plenty of outdoor education, art, music and gardening. Our school is a public Waldorf school serving K – 8 on a beautiful 19 acre campus in Murphy, Oregon. We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to join our team at Woodland Charter School. Shasta, Crater Lake, and the Oregon and California coasts and the world’s most scenic stand of redwoods, and four hours from the dynamic metropolitan area of Portland. Biodynamic, organic, and permaculture farms abound in this temperate zone, and we have many farmers in our school community. Our amazing local “three rivers” water system offers rafting, kayaking, and swimming for water enthusiasts, and the meeting point of the Cascade and Siskiyou Mountains offers numerous spectacular hiking opportunities, including to many accessible high peaks and the Pacific Crest Trail. Local cultural events include the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, the Britt Music & Arts Festival in Jacksonville, and all the amenities of the nearby mid-size towns of Grants Pass and Medford. Southwest Oregon is a great place to live as well as to raise a family!
